I also am having problems with upcp, but mine can't connect on a different part. Here are the errors:

The problem seemed to start right after that explosion took place in the H1 datacenter. This server with these errors is actually in the other datacenter (not the H1 datacenter: Hardware Object's Upstream Connection:bq15a.02.hstntx2 ). Any ideas? Is the server it is looking for part of the H1 datacenter?

same issue here, 6am every day since "what is being called an outage" happened.

anytime scripts ucpc runs the server gives this issue , sometimes it seems to be near when the server has no outgoing email anymore until a restart of bind.

Me thinks tp is failing as a business, provider and is the beginning of the end.

Ran easyapache3 in WHM tonite. Fails each time. Submitted ticket to Cpanel support. They stated that up2date is timing out because it cannot access my providers RHEL4 mirrors. Asked if it was potentially due to non-functioning nameservers, they said most likely.

So, the resolv.conf situation seems to work for me regarding scripts accessing external urls, but the up2date is still trying to access stuff that is apparently down at The Planet. I guess it doesn't work off of resolv.conf?

Any idea if that is true, and if so, what to change /where to get up2date working?

Same issue here, up2date times out. Only one of my servers at the Planet has this problem. I'm almost positive it in their Houston datacenter, so that would explain the problem. I too am wondering what it is trying to access at the Planet. If anyone gets any more information please let us know.

If you look in your up2date config file, it has a setting of serverURL=

mine was noSSLServerURL=http://rhn.ev1servers.net/XMLRPC

pinging http://rhn.ev1servers.net/ - that times out all hops.

I tried noSSLServerURL=https://rhn-proxy01.dllstx4.theplanet.com/XMLRPC

still didnt work. That does come back if you ping it tho.

Changing your resolv.conf nameserver locations will not change how up2date looks for files. From what I can tell.

Support just responded to my ticket asking for login info, so no answer yet, and will most likely be a while.

I hate to bump an old thread, but I have the same problem right now and have been trying to find an answer for several days. Any advice out there.
