I've currently got a Celeron 1.3 with RHE and Ensim Pro with about 80+ sites, some of which are using an upgraded Tomcat with various site level configurations. I've also got one ruby-on-rails development site, so all the ruby applications have been installed.

What I want to do is to upgrade to a better server, but sales tell me they can't swap the disk into a better machine, so I' d have to migrate to a new server. I did this 18 months ago when I had a server failure and it was a lot of work to get Ensim and Tomcat working properly again, plus considerable disruption to my existing users.

The other option, of course, is to get a second server, but that means managing two machines instead of one ...

Can anyone let me know what they have done or intend to do to upgrade a server which they've tuned and bespoked? What I have in mind is getting a new server and seamlessly cloning everything across ... is there a way to do that?
