I've just run /scripts/easyapache and notice that the Mysql PHP extension is missing, even though I've selected it in the "extensive options". I've been successfull with easyapache before but not now. I've run it about three times today with various options, tried one of the the settings "templates" in the beginning too - no help.
I have a feeling some rpm/cpanel "php-mysql" component is missing perhaps?

It seems this may be related to my obessive update mania combined with limited RHEL skills.
A while back I did a up2date -u and saw dovecot there, but under "The following Packages were marked to be skipped by your configuration:". Heck, I use dovecot I thought and thendid a up2date -u dovecot -f and to my saw that it installed mysql4. Wham, my mysql5 was down and gone. I then did the only think I could think of, typed /scripts/mysqlup which quite quickly restored mysql5.
Now if i go to the cpeasyapache source folder and do a ./configure to php it does not find mysql support on the system, so something must be missing form the mysql5 installation.... ?

I've now done a /scripts/mysqlup --force which seemed to have done quite a lot. I'm hoping it will help. I saw some indications in the easyapache compilation flashing before my eyes that mysql support is found
EDIT: yes, it did fix mysql. Hope this thread will help someone in the future.
